Michael Houle CSCS, FDN, CMTA
Founder of Muvement

Michael is a highly sought after wellness practitioner. Michael’s desire is to revolutionize the way the world thinks about health. Recognizing the failures of our health care system, Michael promotes the concept of self care. In order to regain and/or maintain superb health, we must become more responsible for ourselves.

Michael is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire where he majored in Medical Sociology and minored in Exercise Physiology. It was during this time that Michael began to learn of the failing healthcare system and it’s lack of emphasis on natural and preventive care. During his college years Michael also began his fitness career working as a personal trainer, seeking to help individuals take a proactive approach to their health.

Michael works with clients to uncover the root cause(s) of their health challenges. He works with individuals from both his fitness and wellness center in Manchester, CT and via the phone/internet with clients that live at a distance. Michael takes a holistic approach to rebuilding health from the ground up. As a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist (FDN), Certified Metabolic Typing Advisor(CMTA), and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Michael does not focus on symptoms. Rather, he is solely concerned with uncovering the root cause(s) of health challenges and addressing them holistically through Fitness, Nutrition, and Function.

The typical MUVEMENT client is one who has been told time and time again that they just need to exercise more, and eat “better” in order to lose weight or feel better. For many people, this just doesn’t cut it! Behind every symptom is an underlying malfunction lurking within, and weight gain is very often just a symptom of a much deeper problem.

Traditional medicine elects to mask symptoms by prescribing drugs to the patient. Michael works with his client by:

    • Educating the client to understand the process of healing and how stressors break down the body.
    • Building health from the ground up.
    • Balancing the body by addressing the 5 Pillars of Health.
      1. Diet
      2. Hormones
      3. Digestion
      4. Detoxification
      5. Immunity

“Disease is function gone wrong.”

Michael does NOT diagnose or treat conditions. The focus is on FUNCTION. Identifying and repairing malfunctions in the above systems is the key to regaining health. The goal is to restore the body to the balance and harmony it was intended to enjoy. Weight loss is a natural by-product of a body that regains normal function.
